Vacuum Base Adapter
The Vacuum Base Adapter allows any mag drill to drill up to 55mm holes on surfaces where the magnet's adhesion would not work or would be problematic such as:
■ Non-magnetic surfaces such as aluminium, brass, stainless steel, fiberglass, etc.
■ Thin steel or even sheet metal where the magnetic force would be insufficient.
■ Patterned surfaces with irregularities less than 3mm deep such as diamond plate.
The mag drill attaches magnetically to the vacuum adapter plate and the adapter adheres to the work surface by vacuum force. A vacuum pump must be used which can achieve a minimum of 0.8 bar (26inHg) vacuum and flow of 30 L/min (1 cfm) such as our Vacuum Pump.
Drilling with cutters larger than 55mm is not recommended with this device.
